QUESTIONS? HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS:
Q. Where do you get the content for the station?
A. We take any internal communications you currently use (newsletter, SharePoint, etc.) and rewrite it and produce it for your WorkSpace Radio station. You let us know what is most important and we’ll make sure it gets extra air-time. Simply add us to your current HR distribution list for internal communication and we will rewrite it for radio, have it produced, and schedule it to air. We basically handle it all! We can easily prioritize content as needed so, for example, your health plan opt-in deadline receives greater attention than a department bake sale.
Q. What’s would the music be like on my WorkSpace Radio?
A. Whatever you want it to be! It can be workplace appropriate music that any generation will enjoy and that they’ll want to listen to each day. You can have multiple stations that feature different music — Top 40, Country, Classic Rock, Easy Listening, etc.!
Q. Do you have one main point of contact at our worksite?
A. That’s up to you. There can be one main point of contact or multiple contacts that span different departments.
Q. What is the cost?
A. We establish a scope-of-work with each client to determine goals, amount of content, number of employees to be reached, how many different formats you will need to reach employees, and technical details. From that information, a monthly fee is set that covers everything. If the scope-of-work changes, we can easily adjust the monthly fee. You’re in control and you have a predictable amount to budget each month.
Q. Can my WorkSpace Radio only be received at employee workstations?
A. There are so many ways for your employees to hear your WorkSpace Radio station! Here are a few: sound systems in open spaces, cafeteria sound systems, in a lobby, mobile app, mobile web app, and, of course, their computer! They can listen when in the office, on the road, or at home. There are even several FM radio options for broadcasting your WorkSpace Radio within the workplace so any employee with an FM radio at their desk can hear the station.
Q. My IT department will ask about bandwidth. What do I tell them?
A. Great question. The bandwidth used by your employees will be low. There are a variety of codex we can implement that can significantly limit bandwidth usage. We will work with your IT department each step of the way to determine network setup, operating system(s) deployed, etc. and implement a solution that will make them very happy.
Q. What about security?
A. Many large employers block workstations from streaming. We will work with IT to assign an IP address and port that can be opened specifically for streaming your WorkSpace Radio station(s). Further security can be provided by having IT install a simple server for streaming that can sit within a corporate firewall. With this setup, employees never go beyond the firewall to grab the stream. This also has benefits for bandwidth consumption.
Q. Is there advertising on the station?
A. Any advertising on the station would be all yours! All of the content is yours so you can talk to your employees about HR information, encourage them, give corporate news, and keep them informed of what’s happening around the world. If you decide to sell advertising on your WorkSpace Radio station, that can also happen – it would be up to you!
Q. How can I hear what my station would sound like?
A. We can produce a customized demo so you can hear what it would sound like to have a WorkSpace Radio station. Let us know if you’re interested!
Q. I have other questions?
A. Ask away! We love talking about this stuff and can do it all day!
